Vision Training Part 2: Visual Reset, Massage and Rest

Hi Everyone!

Welcome back! I’ll keep this short and sweet. Too often we spend time looking at screens or under harsh lights. Did you know that light can have a tremendous impact on your health? Some include:

  1. Pain

  2. Range of motion

  3. Breath rate

  4. Muscle tension

  5. Mood/Energy

  6. Happiness

  7. Strength

  8. Stress level

Here is a quick video on how to “reset” your eyes. The last portion “palming” is one of my favorites. I try to keep my eyes closed for entire visual reset drill. As always, assess yourself, try out the drill and reassess. Make note if anything changed.

Palming is one of the drills I do in between sets. It helps manage the load (aka stress) that I am placing on my body and helps improve recovery. Therefore, better reps, more efficient training sessions and improved energy/strength.

Also to mention, if you notice you are sensitive to light I’d suggest dimming the lights on your screens, limiting screen time (especially in the evening), and purchasing some blue blocking glasses.
