"A couple years ago, I found out that I had endometriosis. I struggled with intense period pain, bloat, fatigue, a low appetite and became incredibly underweight during my period troubles. My OBGYN doctor put me on birth control pills to help manage my pain but I noticed changes in my period. It seemed unnatural but was told it was normal. I had also gone to see a nutritionist hoping to find solutions, but instead, I left feeling anxious and confused. I was simply told to follow the food pyramid and to make sure I was eating enough calories. I didn’t understand what was going on with my body and didn’t have a direction to resolve the issues I was facing."
